Kelly Olynyk Plays Only 17 Minutes In Win
7 years agoMiami Heat forward/center Kelly Olynyk made the most of his limited amount of time on the court on Thursday. Olynyk played 17 minutes, finishing the night with only 11 points and three boards in the win over the Chicago Bulls. The fifth-year man saw a reduction in his minutes as a result of the return of center Hassan Whiteside (hip), who missed the previous nine games. Though Olynyk still produced well considering his lack of minutes, his performance was a complete fantasy flop in the grand scheme of things. As Whiteside continues to improve from a health standpoint, he will continue to eat into the floor time of both Olynyk and forward James Johnson, though he should still see around 20 minutes per contest moving forward, barring any injuries of course.
