7 years agoTwo days after San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers was held out of the lineup with back tightness, catcher Austin Hedges is a late scratch after also developing tightness in his upper back, according to The Athletic's Dennis Lin. In his place, A.J. Ellis will make his first start with San Diego, batting eighth in the lineup. This shouldn't have any lasting effect on Hedges, and he should be back in the lineup soon.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
