Tony Sanchez Acquired By Rangers
7 years agoThe Texas Rangers acquired Tony Sanchez from the Cincinnati Reds on Monday afternoon. Sanchez has been assigned to Triple-A, where he will share catching duties with recently-acquired Cameron Rupp. In his major league career, Sanchez has hit .257 with four home runs in 156 career plate appearances. His minor league numbers are actually worse with a .246 average and 41 home runs in 1,733 plate appearances across seven seasons. He is likely the Rangers fourth catching option, so even in 15-team two-catcher leagues, he is a long way from fantasy relevance.
