Salvador Perez Hits Home Run in First Rehab Outing
7 years agoIn his first rehab outing with Double-A Northwest Arkansas, Salvador Perez cleared the fences. This was Perez's first official game of the year after injuring himself in spring training. This season, the Royals catchers are hitting just .184, so this will be a welcome sight for the Royals. It is expected that Perez will need a handful of outings in Double-A to get himself up to speed before joining the major league team. Last season, he hit .268 with 27 home runs and 80 RBI in 499 plate appearances. If Perez has been dropped in your leagues, then now is the time to go out and add him.
