7 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Ryan Rua was optioned to Triple-A Monday to make space for Renato Nunez. Rua has failed to build on his promising rookie season where he hit .295 in 109 plate appearances. Since then, he has failed to hit above .258 in any season. Across five seasons, he has hit 18 home runs with 13 stolen bases at a .241 average in 657 plate appearances. Despite likely being the first call-up for a corner outfield or first base injury, Rua doesn't possess enough upside to be worth holding onto in single-season leagues.--Ben Rolfe
