Wilson Ramos Sitting Wednesday
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays catcher Wilson Ramos continues his pattern of sitting every third game for the Rays. With Ramos still only a year removed from recovering from a torn ACL, the Rays seem keen to get him as much rest as possible. Their decision will be made easier by Ramos' early-season struggles at the plate. A career .270 hitter, Ramos has managed just a .220 average so far in 2018 with one home run. Expect Ramos to improve as the season progresses and if the bat improves, the Rays will find it hard to leave him out of the lineup. His hitting ability should mean he finishes the year as a top-10 catcher.
