7 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija will face off against the Washington Nationals at home on Wednesday. In AT&T Park, Samardzija owns a 3.73 ERA with 188 strikeouts across 198 innings. At home, Samardzija allows just 0.73 home runs per nine innings pitched, which is 0.27 lower than his overall career rate. The Nationals have done most of their damage in 2018 with home runs, where they rank ninth in the majors compared to 21st in batting average and 16th in runs scored. Pitching in AT&T should help Samardzija keep this power-based offense under control in his second start of 2018, making him an extremely useful mid-priced pitcher in DFS Wednesday.--Ben Rolfe
