7 years agoMiami Heat guard Tyler Johnson (thumb) is expected to have surgery on his right thumb. He sustained the injury during Game 3, but was able to play through the rest of the series. Johnson was bothered by his thumb throughout the playoff series, but it did not seem too serious at the time. "[Johnson is] ready to go," said head coach Erik Spoelstra. It appears Johnson and the Heat organization did not believe the thumb was going to be a significant issue. The Heat have not announced that Johnson is having surgery, but it is likely to happen.
