7 years agoKansas City Royals infielder Cheslor Cuthbert (back) will be placed on the disabled list Saturday. Cuthbert was removed from the game Monday with back spasms and has not been able to return to the lineup. Ramon Torres has been called up to replace Cuthbert. This season, Cuthbert is hitting .194 with three home runs in 117 plate appearances, so his absence is not really a loss to fantasy owners. Cuthbert was likely only owned in AL-only leagues, but if he was owned in any others he should be dropped at this point.--Ben Rolfe
