6 years agoFrancesco Molinari recorded his fifth win on the European Tour last week at the BMW PGA Championship. Molinari began the final round tied with tournament favorite Rory McIlroy, but the Italian played excellently to forge a lead over his opponent on the front nine, and he was able to convert and win the European Tour’s flagship event by two strokes. It’s a victory that now puts the Italian in the top 20 in the world as well as giving him an excellent chance of securing a place on Europe’s Ryder Cup team for 2018.--Gianni
