6 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Ryan Carpenter left his start on Thursday against the Angels with a right oblique injury. Carpenter was in noticeable pain after giving up a solo home run to Angels catcher Jose Briceno in the top of the fifth inning. The Tigers have announced that they will place Carpenter on the 10-day disabled list, with a corresponding roster move to be made Friday. Carpenter means little to the fantasy community, as the young pitcher holds an abysmal 8.31 ERA and 1.73 WHIP over 8 2/3 innings.--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
