6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Bartolo Colon had a rough outing against the Los Angeles Angels Friday. Colon gave up six earned run on eight hits in just three innings. This is a continuation of a rough stretch for Colon, who has given up three or more earned runs in six of the last eight outings. The trouble with Colon for fantasy is he has a very limited upside. Colon has just 44 strikeouts in 66 1/3 innings, and has struck out more than four batters just once this season. The limited upside means that Colon is only really a viable fantasy option for deeper mixed and AL-only leagues.--Ben Rolfe
