6 years agoTexas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels signed a multi-year contract extension Thursday. The terms and length of the contract were not made public at this stage. Daniels has been the GM of the Rangers since 2006, at which point he was the youngest GM in the league. In his time as the GM, he oversaw the Rangers winning back-to-back American League pennants. Some of his recent moves have earned him criticism from the Rangers fan base, but the ownership is committed to Daniels taking the Rangers through their current rebuilding phase.--Ben Rolfe
