6 years agoBefore winning the Open Championship in 2016, Henrik Stenson seemed destined to be one of the best golfers to never win a major championship. Since finally breaking through, Stenson has often been close but just hasn't been able to get over the hump. He had a T7 in the PGA Championship that same year and also finished T5 in this year's first major, the Masters. Stenson has not had fond recent U.S. Open memories, however, having withdrawn in 2016 and having missed the cut in last year's event. Still, Stenson has done everything but win this year and looks as sharp as ever. He's always a great ball-striker, and Stenson is just a hot putter away from winning and could fly a bit under the radar this week.--cmangano
