6 years agoDetroit Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario had a rough day at the plate on Saturday. Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer had him beat all night. Candelario has had a rough June, too. His batting average for the month is an underachieving .179. His production numbers haven't gone down that much, but his strikeouts have gone up quite a bit. He's likely feeling some effects of Miguel Cabrera not being in the heart of the Tigers lineup to offer protection. While strikeouts are frustrating to fantasy owners, Candelario is only 24 years old and he'll have to face slumps like the one he's currently in.--Blake Sullivan
