6 years agoDetroit Tigers second baseman Niko Goodrum had himself a nice day on Saturday, hitting 4-for-4, scoring a run, and recording his seventh steal of the year in a 7-2 win over the Rangers. He also took a walk, meaning he got on base all five times he stepped up to the plate. Goodrum's season slash line sits at .237/.311/.447 with eight home runs, 27 RBI, 30 runs scored, and seven steals out of eight attempts. Over his last seven games, he's slashing .321/.321/.607 with one home run, two RBI, and seven runs scored. Despite today's big day and his mild success of late, Goodrum is not a player that should be owned in most standard leagues. His poor batting average, strikeout rate (27.8%), and overall lack of upside make him unappealing in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
