6 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier is out of the lineup Sunday with back tightness. The long-term implications for Kiermaier are not clear and for now he is day-to-day. Mallex Smith will cover center field, with Joey Wendle in left field and hitting leadoff. Wendle has been unimpressive this season when facing right-handed pitchers, with just a .080 ISO and a .292 wOBA. However, he is facing Chris Flexen, who is making his first start for the New York Mets this season, and has a 4.84 ERA in 67 innings this season. Wendle is not a slam dunk DFS option, but if you are looking for some value, then he may present an interesting upside gamble Sunday.--Ben Rolfe
