6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez (elbow) has been activated from the disabled list and will start Saturday. It has been a tough season for Perez, who fractured the elbow of his non-throwing arm in the offseason, before struggling upon his return and being placed back on the DL with elbow inflammation. Perez's 9.67 ERA in 22 1/3 innings this season could be attributed in part to his injuries, and therefore forgiven slightly. However, the issue for Perez from a fantasy point of view is his lack of upside, with a career 13.9% strikeout rate. Despite facing a struggling Orioles team, Perez is a pitcher to avoid in all formats Saturday.--Ben Rolfe
