6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo suggested after the game Sunday that his ankle sprain was not as bad as first feared. Gallo was not using a walking boot after the game, and indicated he felt that he could play tomorrow. It would not be surprising if the Rangers give Gallo a day off Monday as a precaution. However, it does not sound like this is much more than a day-to-day injury. Therefore, expect to see Gallo back in the lineup early in the week. If you have been relying on Gallo’s power this season then, unless we hear worse news prior to games starting Monday, I see no reason not to start him in weekly leagues.--Ben Rolfe
