6 years agoTexas Rangers relief pitcher Chris Martin (knee) could be headed out on a rehab assignment as soon as this weekend. Monday saw Martin throw a bullpen for the second straight day, and if he throws well in live batting practice Tuesday then a rehab assignment is more than likely. Martin has made 28 appearances for the Rangers this season, throwing 25 innings with a 4.32 ERA and 21 strikeouts. With the Rangers bullpen once again having some issues we could see Martin back in the majors soon. There is also an outside chance that if Keone Kela gets traded he could get a shot at some saves. For now Martin has very little fantasy value, but with this bullpen still unsettled and trade rumors swirling he could yet have fantasy relevance in 2018.--Ben Rolfe
