6 years agoTexas Rangers closer Keone Kela blew his first save of the season Tuesday. Kela came in in the eighth and managed to get the Rangers out of the innings, but allowed two inherited runners to score. Kela then came back out for the ninth, where he gave up the game tying home run to the first hitter he faced, before managing to finish the innings. This is the first time Kela has been asked to work more than one innings in a save situation, so the error can be forgiven somewhat. However, that will be of little comfort to fantasy owners this morning. Kela will remain the Rangers closer but he is currently the subject of much trade discussion. If Kela does get traded there is a good chance he will no longer be providing fantasy owners with saves for the remainder of the season.--Ben Rolfe
