6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer is looking more likely to be heading to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Pirates appear to have emerged as a front runner as we close in on the deadline. Archer should receive a boost from going to the National League and getting to face the pitcher each time through the lineup. Over the course of his career Archer has generally been better at home, with a 3.33 ERA compared to 4.05 on the road. However, in 2018 Archer has performed better away from Tropicana field, with a 3.95 road ERA compared to 4.85 at home--Ben Rolfe
