BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 8% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried is back on the menu. The 24-year-old returned to the rotation by striking out seven Dodgers over five crisp innings of one-run ball after missing three weeks due to a blister. His 32 strikeouts in 25 ⅔ innings and being on the Braves in a weak NL East division highlight his potential for his next scheduled start against the Mets.
Things are not all rosy -- he has walked at least three in each of his four starts this season -- but every rose has its thorns. Also, the Braves just acquired Kevin Gausman from the Orioles, so Fried may not be up in the majors for long.
Considering that he has the pedigree of a former top prospect and is owned in less than 10% of leagues, it may be worth a chance on Fried. He might not be worthy of an addition in more shallow leagues, but he is a good streamer in deeper leagues.
