6 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Kurt Benkert got some valuable time under center on Saturday. Benkert is fighting with Garrett Grayson for the third QB spot on the roster. If Benkert can show improvement under center in camp and preseason, then he could even look to challenge Schaub for the backup job to Matt Ryan. For now it is clear Benkert remains behind Schaub, as he eventually replaced Schaub late in the Falcons scrimmage Saturday. If Benkert could win the backup role he could have fantasy value during the season if Ryan goes down. Any QB getting to lead this high powered offense will see a boost in value when taking snaps.--Ben Rolfe
