6 years agoTexas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre (hamstring) took grounders at third base over the weekend before starting at third Sunday. Beltre said he was not 100% but that he wanted to play the field on Sunday, as he is always taking risks when he is on the field. The next month is likely to tell Beltre whether he is playing next year or not. Therefore, if he is able to be out there I fully expect him to be. However, while playing time is not an issue, performance is. This season Beltre has just seven home runs and a below-par average for him of .275. At this point Beltre has very little fantasy value and should not be owned in many leagues.--Ben Rolfe
