7 years agoWashington Nationals catcher Matt Wieters (groin) is still bothered by a nagging groin injury and isn't playing on Monday. Manager Dave Martinez said Wieters is available to pinch hit and catch for an inning if needed. The Nats are being cautious with Wieters, who is bothered by the groin when running. Pedro Severino is behind the plate on Monday. Wieters is hitting just .232 with six homers and 22 RBI and is really only attractive as a second backstop in two-catcher leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
