Austin Hooper Hoping To Make Offseason Work Count Thursday
6 years agoAtlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper will be hoping to make his offseason work with quarterback Matt Ryan count in the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday. Hooper has caught between 70-75% of targets he has seen since being drafted, so he should have the confidence of Ryan. However, he has scored just six touchdowns in 30 games in his career. The Eagles ranked 19th worst against tight ends for fantasy points allowed last season, averaging 8.9 points per game. Finding the end zone may be tough as the Eagles allowed just 0.3 touchdowns per game to opposing tight ends last season. Entering this week Hooper is a tough tight end to start and falls outside the top-15 options in week one.
