6 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones put up huge numbers in the season opener Thursday. Jones had 169 yards receiving on 10 receptions and added an 11 yard rush as well. In total, Jones saw 19 targets and his night could have been even bigger had he not had a 52 yard reception incorrectly called incomplete. However, the major question mark this season was whether Jones would be able to find the end zone more consistently than 2017. He failed to do that this week despite the Falcons leaning on him heavily in the red zone at the end of the game. Jones will need touchdowns going forward as it is unreasonable to expect he will see nearly 50% of the Falcons targets every week.--Ben Rolfe
