6 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman was effective when on the field on Thursday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Freeman had six rushes for 36 yards and three receptions for 14 yards. His receiving numbers were not helped by a big loss on a screen play which was blown from the beginning. An issue for Freeman was that he allowed a sack when he was knocked back by Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks. In addition, Freeman not finding the end zone, despite a number of opportunities in the first quarter, will mean that his fantasy line looks fairly anemic in week one.--Ben Rolfe
