6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Nomar Mazara has struggled at the plate in the last week. Mazara had got off to a hot start in September, with a .379 batting average and three home runs in the first 10 days. Since then he is hitting just .136, has not added a single home run and has just one run with no RBI. Mazara struggled with a thumb injury in August which can be a lingering issue for hitters. However, this up-and-down start to September is indicative of what we have seen from Mazara in his career. Hopefully the young outfielder can finish strong and put himself in the conversation as a top-30 outfielder next season.--Ben Rolfe
