6 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Tevin Coleman failed to make an impact in a reduced role against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Coleman saw a big reduction in touches as Devonta Freeman recovered from a knee injury. Coleman managed just nine touches in total in Sunday's matchup. He rushed the ball seven times for a mediocre 15 yards, and added two receptions on two targets for another 15 yards. Coleman returned to his role splitting time with Freeman which is bad for both of their fantasy value. Another issue here is that the Falcons were chasing the game from the first quarter limiting the running backs touches. However, that may be a common theme in 2018 given how bad the Falcons defense is. Coleman returns to being at-best a flex option going forward, and fantasy owners are going to find knowing when to start him extremely frustrating.--Ben Rolfe
