6 years agoMiami Heat shooting guard Rodney McGruder had a superb night Monday against the Orlando Magic, finishing with a team-high 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists and one block in 27 minutes. He shot 7-for-12 from the field and 3-for-5 from three-point range. McGruder has had his moments in Miami, but the Heat have a lot of guard depth, which has made him an afterthought. He's bringing it in preseason though, averaging 15.2 points per game in four outings. Dion Waiters (ankle) is set to miss the start of the season, so there are minutes to be earned at the shooting guard position.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
