6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Nikola Mirotic had his second consecutive 19-point outing in Wednesday's loss to Miami, adding four rebounds, two assists, and one steal to his tally in 30 minutes as a starter. Anthony Davis (rest) had a night off, so head coach Alvin Gentry had a chance to test Mirotic and Julius Randle together as starters. It didn't work out well as the two combined for a minus-38 rating. Mirotic shot a solid 7-for-13 overall, but he had a miserable outing from deep, going 1-for-7 with his treys. He's now shot just 3-for-17 from deep in his only two preseason outings, which is concerning, although he was nursing an Achilles problem just last week, so maybe that's the reason for it.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
