6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Nikola Mirotic maintained his double-double form on Monday against the Nuggets, recording 17 points and 10 rebounds in a 116-111 road loss. He was cold from the field, making only 7 of 17 field goal attempts and going 3-for-11 from deep, but he made up for it defensively with three steals and one block. Mirotic now has three double-doubles for the season and he's been close to one in all of the other games as well, averaging 22.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for the year. Getting a sniff of a double-double might turn out to be difficult in the next game though, as the Pels visit the Warriors, who are allowing opponents to grab just 41.1 rebounds per game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
