6 years agoNew York Knicks combo guard Allonzo Trier poured in a career-high 23 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the field and 1-for-3 from beyond the arc on Friday. He chipped in two rebounds and one assist in 24 minutes off the bench. Despite being only nine games into the season, the undrafted rookie has shown that he can score and shoot efficiently at the NBA level. Trier, who has scored in double figures five times this year, has tallied 49 points, as he had drained 19 of 24 (79.1 percent) shots over the last three games. He has done an excellent job at finishing at the rim and sinking mid- to long-range jumpers so far. Trier will look to run his double-figure scoring streak to four straight games against the Wizards on Sunday.--Daniel Benjamin
