6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday has been dishing out assists on a career-best rate to start 2018-19 and during Saturday’s win over the Phoenix Suns, he kept right on along. Entering the night second in the league at 8.8 assists per game, he dished out nine more, while adding 19 points, six rebounds, three steals and a block. With Elfrid Payton still sidelined, Holiday continues to see a pile of minutes, which are only helping his overall stat line. He has recorded at least eight assists in each of his last seven games and his next matchup comes Monday against the only player in the league averaging more dimes per game than him -- Toronto’s Kyle Lowry.--Jesse Borek
