6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans point guard Elfrid Payton (hand) returned after missing nine games due to an ankle sprain, only to fracture his right pinkie just eight minutes into Friday's matchup against the Knicks. This is a tough pill to swallow for owners who held on to him through his ankle struggles as he will miss another extended period of time, with more information to be released on Saturday. Ian Clark and Wes Johnson should pick up some more minutes in his absence with Jrue Holiday continuing to be the main distributor for the Pels.--Gianni Costantiello
