6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans point guard Elfrid Payton will miss Saturday’s game against the Denver Nuggets due a fractured left pinky finger, which he suffered in his return to the lineup Friday. Payton logged just eight minutes after a nine-game absence, only to hit the shelf with a new ailment. Jrue Holiday figures to remain in line for a healthy share of minutes, while Frank Jackson saw a handful of minutes off the bench in Payton’s absence. There has not yet been a timetable announced for when Payton may return.--Jesse Borek
