Tim Hardaway Jr. Drops 30 Points On Pelicans
6 years agoNew York Knicks shooting guard/small forward Tim Hardaway Jr. poured in 30 points in Friday night's loss to the Pelicans, marking the fourth time this season that he has tallied that many points. He topped the 30-point plateau just five times all of last season. The 26-year-old was 9-for-23 from the field, 4-for-12 from beyond the arc as well as 8-for-10 from the free throw line. It marked the fourth time in his last six games that he has shot less than 40 percent from the field. The 6-foot-6 wing, who also grabbed a season-high eight rebounds in the game, is currently shooting a career-worst 41.2 percent from the field. However, the former Michigan star has counterbalanced his shooting woes by averaging a personal-best 3.1 triples and 5.1 free throws a contest. Hardaway will look to make amends for his poor performance the last time the Knicks played the Magic when the teams meet in Orlando on Sunday.
