6 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Ito Smith is likely to struggle to make a mark against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday. Smith has averaged just 11.5 rushing yards, five carries, three receptions and 13.5 receiving yards in the last two games. He has also failed to find the end zone in either of the last two games. In his first outing against the Saints this season, he managed just 35 total yards on five touches, including -6 rushing yards on his two carries. Between the strength of the Saints rush defense and the uncertainty about how much of a role Smith will play mean he is close to impossible to start this week against the Saints.--Ben Rolfe
