6 years agoBoston Celtics small forward/power forward Gordon Hayward (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's tilt against the Mavericks due to ankle soreness. Hayward had a solid game on Friday against the Hawks, compiling 11 points along with five rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 22 minutes. He has played a little better recently, but the 28-year-old is still not as explosive as he was during his Utah days. With Hayward out, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Morris could see an uptick in minutes while Semi Ojeleye seemingly will return to the rotation.--Daniel Benjamin
