Marcus Morris Collects Season-High 11 Boards
6 years agoBoston Celtics power forward Marcus Morris scored 19 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the field, including 3-for-7 from beyond the arc, in Monday's victory over the Pelicans. He chipped in a season-high 11 rebounds along with three assists in 30 minutes. It was the 29-year-old's first double-double since Oct. 25 and third of the season. The eighth-year pro is shooting and scoring at the highest efficiency levels of his career due in large part to his proficiency from the three-point line where he is averaging a career-best two three-pointers and shooting at a 43.2 percent clip. Morris will look to extend his streak of at least one three-pointer to four straight games versus the Cavaliers on Friday.
