6 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. was in a giving mood in Tuesday's matchup against Portland, dishing out a season-high nine assists. He made up for his poor shooting, which was at a lowly 4-for-9 from the field. Smith Jr. missed three of his four attempts from deep and finished with 12 points. He's found a way to coexist with Luka Doncic on the court, but Smith Jr.'s numbers have dropped in almost every category this year. The North Carolina State product is actually shooting a lot better compared to his rookie season, but he's getting fewer looks and thus averaging fewer points.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
