We have a MASSIVE 11-game slate to kick off our NBA week and the slate is loaded. There are five players over $10K you may want to pay up for, but you'll need a bit of savings to get up to those players, so let's take a look at a few players in the mid-tier, along with one high-end option.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/10/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.
You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups to early and check player statuses prior to opening tip. Give me a follow on Twitter @DFS_Tom with questions or comments. Good luck everyone.
DraftKings DFS Guards
Darren Collison - PG, IND vs WAS (DK - $6,900)
Collison is a player who can often go overlooked on a larger slate like this since most will want to spend all the way up or look for value plays. This leaves Collison in a unique spot if he is able to capture some of the upside he's shown in recent games. He has posted 38 DraftKings points or more in two of his last four games, but also has under 30 DK points in the other two games. That range of outcomes is not something you want in cash games but embracing that variance can be beneficial in tournaments since he has a super favorable matchup vs the Wizards, who are giving up 53 DraftKings points per game to point guards, which is dead last in the league.
Jaylen Brown - SG, BOS vs NO (DK - $5,000)
Brown has posted 35 DraftKings points or more in three straight games, a level of production he should be able to reproduce tonight versus the Pelicans, who are giving up 42 DraftKings points per game to shooting guards. This game has an over-under set at 230 points, so we are set for a very high scoring, fantasy-friendly game. He should be viable for cash games tonight due to the matchup and the potentially high-scoring game.
DraftKings DFS Forwards
Terrence Ross - SF, ORL @ DAL (DK - $4,800)
Love the savings that Ross brings tonight and should be able to reach 5x value, as he has in seven of his last 10 games. He has been at or sub $5K in nearly all of his last 10 games, but has been able to post 20 or more DraftKings points in those seven games. This level of consistency from a role player is tough to find and with the savings he brings, you should be looking at a solid tournament player who won't post a dud.
Marvin Bagley Jr. - PF, SAC @ CHI (DK - $4,700)
Bagley and the Kings are up against the Bulls, who are a complete mess right now, firing their coach, rumors coming out saying the players are skipping practice etc. Yikes, never want to see that, but this is still a spot we should be attacking, considering the Bulls are giving up 50 DraftKings points per game to power forwards this season. Take the savings, take the favorable matchup and attack a weak team.
DraftKings DFS Center
Andre Drummond - C, DET @ PHI (DK - $8,400)
We all know that Drummond has struggled a bit against Embiid this season, but Drummond is way, way too cheap tonight and with the true upside he has, he should at least be considered for tournaments tonight. He has seven double-doubles in his last 10 games while posting above 49 DraftKings points in five of those games. The ceiling will always be there for him, just a matter of overcoming the mental matchup versus Embiid.
