Week 15 Wide Receivers - Waiver Wire Pickups and Adds

Hopefully you survived Week 14 of the football season, a week that was littered with the unexpected. Owners were still battling injuries, including unexpected ones like Odell Beckham Jr and when we ran to look for help, a majority of the players we leaned on where underwhelming at best. So, if your fantasy season is still alive, here are some guys we may hev forgotten about and some up and comers.

Instead of going in depth on a few players, we are going to quick hit many options this week that you should keep your eye on. It’s playoff time, so which potential waiver wire addition has the best matchup for next week? That’s how we will be looking at this article moving forward.

Not all options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one size fits all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster. Check here for a complete list of our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 15 for help at all the skill positions. Week 15 Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Targets

Did You Forget About Me?

Randall Cobb, GB - 33% owned

Expected by many to be the number two receiver heading into 2018, Randall Cobb had one monster game to start the season and then disappeared due to ineffective play and most importantly, injuries. The Packers need someone to step up and be a consistent producer as the WR2 to end the season and the veteran Cobb is my bet if he can stay healthy. He has had at least five targets in every game he has played this year including two games with double-digit targets. Cobb was also able to find the end zone for the second time this season on Sunday against the Falcons. With matchups against the Bears, Jets and Lions to finish the season, he could over just enough value at the perfect time.

Jamison Crowder, WSH - 22% owned

One of my pre-season under the radar picks has been bit by the injury bug for the majority of 2018. Since he was out from Week 5 till Week 13, it’s possible a majority of owners forgot and him and haven’t considered his name on the waiver wire. After two receptions on seven targets for 87 yards and a touchdown, he may be back on the radar sooner rather than later. The Redskins are a mess heading into Week 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars but newly signed Josh Johnson will need to throw the ball to someone regardless and the options aren’t great outside of Crowder. The big 79-yard touchdown for Crowder came in the second half after Johnson had replaced Mark Sanchez. Hopefully, Jalen Ramsey covers Josh Doctson on the outside this week and Crowder will have the opportunity to find some space while playing in the slot. A risky pick this week, but a potential flex play against Tennessee and Philadelphia to end the season.

Robby Anderson, NYJ - 21% owned

Robby Anderson has not built on his break out 2017 performance this year and has been extremely underwhelming for any owner who felt he fit the WR2 profile on their team. Maybe Anderson can salvage what little is left for this season and offer owners the opportunity to make amends with matchups against Houston, Green Bay and New England to close out 2018. Anderson has at least seven targets in his last two games and scored a touchdown to go along with 76 yards on four receptions in Week 14. That’s not a bad performance considering the Jets were playing one of the toughest pass defenses in the league under Buffalo.

Kenny Stills, MIA - 31% owned

Unlike Crowder and Cobb who largely burned me this season due to injuries, Stills has just been ineffective. Whether you blame that on Stills himself or the offense (I’m choosing the offense) is up to you, but after back to back games with a touchdown, Stills showed why the Dolphins should have been getting the ball to him all season. Be careful with this one, however, matchups with Minnesota, Jacksonville and Buffalo will be extremely tough to navigate. Stills should only be considered in the direst situations.

Still Hanging Around?

Curtis Samuel, CAR - 30% owned

I have no clue how Curtis Samuel has not made it to 50% ownership yet, especially considering all of the injuries fantasy owners are dealing with these days. After four touchdowns in four games, Samuel has now added the volume as Carolina’s WR2, grabbing 10 catches for 168 yards over his last two games. Now the Panthers get to face the Saints twice and the Falcons to wrap up the season. I am begging you, please grab Samuel now. He will be well worth the stash, even if it’s just for depth.

Dante Pettis, SF - 46% owned

If it wasn’t for George Kittle and his huge season, more people would probably be mentioning Dante Pettis right now. With four touchdowns over his last three games, Pettis is setting himself up to be a big member of this team come 2019. Pettis will get the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15, who he just burned for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Over his past four games, Pettis has 27 targets as well. Fire him up for the rest of the season.

Chris Conley, KC - 15% owned

It sounds like Tyreek Hill is dealing with a foot injury that could cause some issues the remainder of the season, and the often injured Sammy Watkins continues to miss time. So as Kansas City prepares to face the Chargers in Week 15, is it possible that Chris Conley could be the WR1 for that game? It is possible and we will need to monitor it closely through the week. But grabbing a WR1 for a team as good as the Chiefs this late in the season doesn’t happen often, even if it is just for one game. With three touchdowns in two weeks prior to Week 14, Conley has all the touchdown upside you want and a potential increase in volume coming soon.

Up and Comers!

Robert Foster, BUF - 1% owned

As much as I wanted Zay Jones to be a thing in Week 14, he wasn’t. As much as I would like him to be a thing moving forward, I don’t know if he can or will be. As good as Josh Allen has been the last few weeks for fantasy football, he is still really rough as a passer and needs time to keep developing. I still don’t think it happens overnight but his athleticism helps. So which receiver do we trust in Buffalo? The answer is probably no one right now, but Robert Foster is intriguing. Foster has at least 90 receiving yards in three of his last four games and even had a career high in targets and receptions last week. Foster is the deep play guy and because Allen requires the defense to watch him and the running backs, it helps pull defenses into the box more and allow the opportunity for Foster to work downfield. In Week 15, the Bills get to face the Lions.

Daesean Hamilton, DEN - 7% owned

The rookie filled in well for Emmanuel Sanders in Week 14, hauling in seven catches on nine targets for 47 yards and a touchdown. This guy has been long sought after by owners who play in deep dynasty leagues, so redraft owners should keep an eye on him. Nine targets is a nice volume play and since he gets the Browns and Raiders over the next two weeks, he could be a nice play in PPR league where an owner needs to fill his flex.
