6 years agoCleveland Cavaliers point guard/shooting guard Jordan Clarkson has seen his minutes increase recently and as a result, his production has gone up as well. The 6-foot-5 combo guard tallied 23 points on 8-for-19 shooting, including 2-for-8 from beyond the arc, in 33 minutes off the bench in Friday's loss to the Bucks. He added five rebounds, four assists, and two steals along with four turnovers. It was his second straight 20-point effort and fourth in the past six contests. The fifth-year pro has seen at least 28 minutes of playing time and has attempted 13 or more shots in six of the seven games this month, where he is averaging 18.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers, and 2.6 assists. Clarkson has a good matchup on Sunday against the 76ers, who rank in the bottom third of the league in points given up to opposing backcourts. The University of Missouri product tallied 19 points along with three rebounds and a couple of three-pointers against Philadelphia in the first meeting of the year.--Daniel Benjamin
