6 years agoPhoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton produced 18 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot in Saturday's victory over the Timberwolves. The rookie was 7-for-11 from the field and 4-for-5 from the free throw line. It was an excellent back-bounce performance from Thursday's seven-point, five-rebound dud against the Mavs. He had a big fourth-quarter with 10 points and five rebounds to help the Suns outscore the Wolves 22-17. The five offensive rebounds were his third most this season while it marked the fourth time in the past five contests that he has pulled down double-digit boards. Ayton will look to collect his sixth double-double in December on Monday against a Knicks squad that has done a better job of keeping opposing centers in check lately.--Daniel Benjamin
