Jimmy Butler Tops 20-Point Mark For First Time In Nearly Two Weeks
6 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers shooting guard/small forward Jimmy Butler scored 20 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field and 8-for-10 from the free throw line in Wednesday's victory over the Knicks. He added four rebounds, four assists, three steals, and no turnovers in 31 minutes. Butler has not committed a turnover in his last five contests. The 29-year-old was incredibly efficient as he averaged 2.22 points per shot, marking the first time since the second game of the season he put up 33 points on only 12 shots against the Cavs. It was his first 20-point game since Dec. 7 as the eighth-year pro missed three games with injury and had 19 and six in his two games following his return. Butler has thrived against the Raptors, who the Sixers play on Saturday, this season as he is producing 30.5 points along with seven boards, three assists, and 3.5 assists.
