6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs power forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge has been playing his best basketball since the beginning of the season recently. The 33-year-old scored 18 points on 9-for-18 shooting from the field in Saturday's loss to the Rockets, marking the 10th time in December that he has made at least 50 percent of his shots from the field. He has now tallied 18 or more points in seven of his last eight games. More recently, the 33-year-old has produced two double-doubles in the past five outings where he is averaging 19.4 points, eight rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks while shooting 55.2 percent from the floor. Aldridge will look to continue his strong efforts against the Nuggets on Wednesday. Denver is allowing the second-most points to opposing power forwards this year. However, the Nuggets have been much better since Mason Plumlee has been inserted into the starting lineup over the last five games.--Daniel Benjamin
