J.J. Barea Hits Season-High Four Threes Off Bench
6 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard J.J. Barea may not have started the game Wednesday versus the New Orleans Pelicans, but he logged 29 minutes and dropped 18 points to go along with seven assists and five rebounds. With Dennis Smith Jr. still sidelined, Barea continues to see an uptick in run, leading the second unit. Jalen Brunson’s minutes were absorbed by Devin Harris on Wednesday, leaving Barea as the only likely DFS play that benefits from any absence Smith Jr. continues to have. Now averaging a career-high 11.8 points per game this season despite logging just 20.1 minutes per contest, Barea is worth rostering in medium-to-deep formats for the time being.
